Vredestein has added an all-season UHP tyre, the Quatrac Pro, and aimed at premium level cars such as the BMW 5 Series or SUVs like the Volvo XC90.

On sale from April 1, the tyre has been proven to bring considerable advances over its predecessor. During back-to-back testing against the Quatrac 5, and in 245/45 R18 100Y XL form, Vredestein’s own engineers found it has 10% more grip on a wet road and 5% better handling on snow. It carries the snowflake symbol showing that it is certified as a winter tyre under EU standards. The Quatrac Pro is being made in 50 sizes in 17, 18, 19, 2 and 21 inch diameters ranging from 205/40 R17 to 285/40 R21. The Quatrac 5 will continue in production catering for tyres in smaller sizes.
