Get your new Continental tyres fitted as early as tomorrow with Tyres on the Drive, at a time and location that’s convenient for you.
Continental is one of the oldest tyre makers in the world, starting way back in 1871. It is also one of the biggest and now owns well known brands such as Uniroyal and Semperit. The German company has always been one of the leaders for innovation. Continental supplied the covering for the Zeppelin air ships, in 1905 it designed riveted anti-skid tyres, a forerunner of steel studded snow tyres and in 1967 Continental built its own huge test track, the famous Contidrom.
In 2003 its engineers worked alongside others from Bridgestone and Yokohama to develop the run-flat system. Continental has always been at the forefront of the high performance tyre market and in 2008 a Porsche 911 topped 250 mph on ContiSportContact Vmax tyres and this tread entered the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest mass produced road tyre. Today Continental is the fourth biggest in the world’s tyre market with annual sales of almost £10 billion.
