Goodyear upgrades winter tyre range

Goodyear is upgrading its UltraGrip winter tyre range giving drivers of high performance cars, city cars and small hatchbacks and vans even more security when the weather turns cold later this year.
The UltraGrip Performance+ improves its wet, dry and winter performance for high-performance cars thanks to two key technologies. One, Traction Protect Technology, has a new resin which improves the deformation and reformation which means it can convert more braking force into grip for safer slowing on slippery roads. The second, Winter Grip Technology, has a new compound which has more rubber elasticity at low temperatures, boosting grip on snow and ice.
For smaller cars, the updated UltraGrip 9+ also has Winter Grip Technology and also Goodyear’s Mileage Plus technology which protects the tyre from cracks and any detachment of rubber particles caused by rough road conditions, improving its lifespan.
For van drivers, the UltraGrip Cargo has an updated tread design and compound mixture giving better braking and more mileage.
Around 70% of the UltraGrip 9+ sizes are being launched this summer and the rest will be available in the autumn. More than half the sizes of the UltraGrip Performance+ sizes will be available next month and the rest by next June. All of the UltraGrip Cargo sizes are already on the market.
