Former F1 star and Cooper Tyre brand ambassador David Coulthard was on its stand at the Geneva Motor Show this week to unveil an ultra-high performance tread named after the ex-Williams, McLaren, Mercedes and Red Bull driver.
He revealed the Cooper Zeon CS Sport David Coulthard Edition, which features a bespoke sidewall incorporating his well-known helmet design in full colour and the specific Coulthard family tartan design. The tyre, which he helped to develop, is ‘A’ rated for wet grip and is the brand’s new flagship high-performance tyre.
A spokesman said: “It provides driving enthusiasts with excellent wet grip and greater fuel economy without compromising tyre tread life, making it an excellent choice from a performance and value perspective.”
As well as representing Cooper at high profile events such as the Geneva show, David also has a much more hands-on role and uses his vast racing experience to help its engineers and gives technical advice, insight and feedback to the product development team.
