Bridgestone’s range of its first all-season touring tyre is to be extended to cover the van market and provide drivers with its run-flat technology.

The Weather Control A005 already covers around 95% of the car and SUV market with 68 sizes for 15 to 20 inch rims and more are due for launch in 2019, but now Bridgestone has added four treads suitable for smaller vans and they will have the DriveGuard run-flat system.

During certification testing by TÜV SÜD, one of Europe’s most respected independent automotive testing institutes, the Weather Control A005 outperformed leading competitors on the market for braking in both wet and snowy conditions. The Bridgestone Weather Control A005 has also been awarded the best-in-class, EU label A-grade for wet grip and C-grade for rolling resistance.

It has the 3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake (3PMSF) marking so is certified as a winter tyres and has the same lifespan as Bridgestone’s premium summer touring tyre, Turanza T005.
