Tyres On The Drive offers appointment self-scheduling online thanks to Descartes’ dynamic booking solution

We are excited to announce the implementation of delivery appointment self-scheduling through Descartes’ advanced appointment scheduling and route planning solution.
Tyres On The Drive customers are now able to choose their own tyre fitting time slot when they book online. Slots are available in different window sizes throughout the day from 8am to 8pm, which are presented online in real-time at the point of sale. The flexibility of the Descartes solution has allowed Tyres On The Drive to replace the largely manual, contact centre-based appointment booking process previously in place, with a more accurate online scheduling service. We’re especially pleased that as part of the suite, the appointment scheduling solution integrates seamlessly into our new ordering system and determines the best delivery options to offer to a customer during the buying process. Descartes takes into consideration many variables, including job location, proximity to other scheduled jobs, estimated job time, order size and weight and customer history. On deploying the solution, Tyres On The Drive has increased productivity of the fleet out on the road, as well as offering customers a fuss-free self-select online appointments service. We anticipate that this will help to smoothly introduce the same-day service we are looking to trial in the months ahead. Using Descartes’ dynamic appointment scheduling and route planning solution, we are able to achieve more from our resources and offer major customer service benefits.
