About Lamborghini
Scoffed at by some in his early days as little more than a tractor maker, Ferrucio Lamborghini did indeed come from humble roots but his firm expanded from making agricultural machinery into producing some of the world’s most coveted supercars and from the 1960s to this day. The exotic products built in the factory at Sant Agata, near Bologna in north Italy are revered by enthusiasts.
Lamborghini unashamedly makes hugely powerful and improbably fast cars, perhaps out of step with the trend towards cleaner hybrids and even zero emission sportscars, which will soon be made by Ferrari and Porsche. Today’s Lamborghinis remain true to the old formula of a big engine, outlandish styling and more than a little excess in every area. That said, Lambo has pandered to fashion in one direction at least – it does now make an SUV.

Huracan
The entry level to the Lamborghini range, the Huracan is the replacement for the hugely popular and successful Gallardo, the biggest seller in Lamborghini’s history. Available in either coupe or convertible form, it uses a 5.2 litre V10 and all bar the very cheapest are four wheel drive.
Aventador
The flagship of Lamborghini’s supercar range, this model has been recently and heavily revised to offer more power from its 6.5 litre V12 (704PS) engine, better driving dynamics from its four wheel drive and four wheel steering technologies. Even its startling shape has been driven by engineering as much as styling and thanks to careful aerodynamic tuning, the latest Aventador produces 130% more frontal downforce for high speed grip than its predecessor. Key performance figures are a top speed of 217 and a 0 to 60 sprint of less than three seconds. It uses 255/30 ZR20 tyres at the front and 355/25 ZR21 at the back.
Urus
Part supercar, part SUV, the Urus is a big departure for Lamborghini and it pushes the boundaries for this small sector of the market currently only really occupied by the Bentley Bentayga and soon the new Aston Martin SUV as well. The Urus has a bi-turbo V8 with 650 HP and obviously, four wheel drive. The Urus has 285/45 ZR21 tyres at the front and 315/40 ZR21 at the back.
