About Bentley

Since being taken into the VW group in 1998 after it was split from Rolls-Royce (bought by BMW), the Bentley brand has benefitted from continuous investment and now builds more cars than ever at its Bentley factory. The Continental GT has been a best seller, the Bentayga marks its arrival in the luxury SUV sector, it retains the Flying Spur and the flagship Mulsanne saloons. Today Bentley makes more than 10,000 cars a year.

Popular Bentley Cars

Bentayga

The Bentley Bentayga broke new ground when it appeared but proved beyond doubt that even the most luxurious marques in the world needed to be in the SUV market. Since the Bentayga arrived, the likes of Rolls-Royce and Lamborghini have also released top-end SUVs. It has been the fastest selling Bentley and since going on sale, the Crewe company has added its first ever diesel and a hybrid version is to follow. Bentley fits the Bentayga SUV with Pirelli tyre sizes ranging from 275/50 R20 to 285/40Z R22.

Continental

The two-seater Continental coupe was the first product to come from Bentley being taken over by VW and has formed the basis for the company’s spectacular growth in recent years. The latest model is the third generation of the V8 or W12 engined luxury supercar and runs on Pirelli 265/40 ZR21 105Y rubber at the front and 305/35 ZR21 109Y at the rear.

Mulsanne

Named after the famous straight on the Le Mans racetrack where Bentley really made its name in the 24 Hour races in the 1920s and ’30s, the Mulsanne is a traditional high speed luxury grand tourer. It is the last car in the Bentley range to have the classic 6.75 litre V8 engine, whose enormous torque output makes the Mulsanne such a rapid car and an easy one in which to cover hundreds of miles in a single journey. Rarely has the phrase ‘effortless performance’ been more accurately used than when applied to the big Bentley. It rides on 20 inch wheels as standard, although bigger rims are available as options.

Flying Spur

For those who want a four door saloon but not the mighty Mulsanne, Bentley offers the Flying Spur, another luxurious and powerful GT, but with either a modern 4.0 V8 or the 6.0 W12, also used to power the Continental models under the bonnet and it has four wheel drive. The Flying Spur is a stunning car with levels of luxury and performance – 202 mph – giving it abilities far beyond many rivals in this rarefied sector of the car market.
