A high level of water dispersion is maintained when new as well as when worn, thanks to a new, safety orientated tread pattern design. This ensures wet braking performance is consistently outstanding throughout the tyre’s lifespan.
Designed for safety and longevity, the Michelin Primacy 4 has an optimised sculpture and an innovative treadwear feature to help you identify when the tyre needs changing. It has been proven to last 11,000 miles longer than competitors on average, due to the latest generation, high performance rubber compound.
Michelin’s Primacy 4 has a modern design, compound and construction which give it distinct safety and longevity advantages over rival tyres. Thanks to a safety oriented new pattern design, the Primacy 4 maintains a high level of water clearance even when worn and its new sculpture provides an extra 22% of space to evacuate more water compared to its predecessor, the Primacy 3. Independent tests done in Germany in 2017 with a VW Golf on 205/55 R16 91V tyres showed that against equivalent treads from competitors the Primacy 4 had significantly better braking in the wet when worn and stopped nine feet shorter. It also lasts up to 11,000 miles longer before it needs changing and a treadwear indicator helps you to identify when the tyres do need replacing. It scores exceptionally well in the EU tests with 'A', 'B’ or 'C’ ratings being the norm for wet weather grip and fuel efficiency and a few, such as the 205/60 R16 and 215/60 R17 both get the double 'A’ rating. The Michelin Primacy 4 fits cars with 16, 17 and 18 inch wheels.
