About Dacia

Dacia is perhaps the text book example of how a mainstream brand (Renault in this case) can take older models and turn them into a very effective sub-brand. Sold on the appeal of tried and tested technology but at a significantly lower price than the latest cars, Dacia has tapped into a ready market among drivers wanting value-for-money cars. Since being relaunched in 2004, Dacia has now sold five million cars, its Sandero model is the best selling retail (privately bought) car in Europe, sales rose by 12 per cent in 2017 and since it arrived in the UK in 2013 some 120,000 have been sold.

Duster

With excellent residual values, the Duster is a mid-size SUV which undercuts everything else by thousands of pounds, but still offers a good sized interior and with the full 4×4 versions, good off-road or towing capability.

Sandero

Still the most affordable new car on sale in the UK, the little five door Sandero is a no-frills and quite roomy new car, which has the advantage of a three year/60,000 mile warranty and because it is so cheap at the front end, relatively low depreciation. It comes with a 0.9 litre turbo petrol, a 1.0 litre non turbo petrol and a diesel. There is an SUV style called the Sandero Stepway which has a slightly raised ride height and is Dacia’s best seller in the UK.

Logan MCV

Dacia’s Logan has best-in-class load space and is the most affordable new estate car available on sale today. The award-winning five-seater cannot match pricier rivals on features, the sophistication of its ride or handing and the engines are not up to par with them either. As with the Sandero, there is a Stepway version too.
